The Vail School District prides itself on the involvement of site councils. The Vail Academy and High School are made up of a nine-member, elected committee in order to represent all areas of our K-12 school.

The VAHS Site Council meets once a month. The site council makes decisions regarding class size, school enrollment, dress code, code of conduct, school calendar, teacher incentive plans, and much more. Parent/community members are elected at an open house meeting at the beginning of the school year and staff representatives are elected at staff meetings.
